- The Californian Lot 64 “AWA-ai” denim from Mister Freedom blends vintage American styling with traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Inspired by 1950s–60s era five-pocket jeans, the Lot 64 silhouette features a classic mid-rise and slightly tapered leg for a clean, vintage-inspired look. Crafted from a proprietary 13oz selvedge denim woven in Japan by Sugar Cane Co., the fabric combines 70% cotton with 30% sugarcane fibers for a unique texture and slub. The denim is rope-dyed using a blend of synthetic and natural Tokushima-grown Awa indigo, yielding a rich dark blue hue with neppy surface and dry hand. Finished with Mister Freedom’s signature “M” rear pocket stitch, NOS striped twill pocket bags, and a natural cowhide leather patch, this jean is built to age beautifully with wear.
